Police identified a suspect arrested in a shooting at the Springfield Underground in north Springfield. Officers arrested Stanley Johnson, 26, of Springfield. He is jailed in the Greene County Jail. Greene County's prosecutor late Tuesday charged him with assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The storage facility is located near Kearney and U.S. 65. Police responded to the reports of a shooter at the facility shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday. Chief Paul Williams says the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police did not identify the victim. However, officers say the shooting is random. Multiple law enforcement officers responded to the scene. They have been very aggressive in filing all the necessary charges to put the man in jail.
